Wow, now that's taking a sim seriously! Hate to bend a sim. :) James. ___ Flightgear-users mailing list Flightgear-users@flightgear.org http://mail.flightgear.org/mailman/listinfo/flightgear-users 2f585eeea02e2c79d7b1d8c4963bae2d
Re: [Flightgear-users] setting up the FDM
Since this is a JSBSim only question I've forwarded this to the jsbsim mailinglist. I would advise you to subscribe to that list also: http://jsbsim.org/ http://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/jsbsim-devel Erik bass pumped wrote: Hi all, Could someone give me a better idea on how the FDM works in Flightgear? I'm using JSBsim with the c-182 and have found myself a little confused on how it calculates the values from the configuration file. For example, how exactly is the lift force calculated from Cl? I do know that Cl = Clo + Clalpha*alpha + etc.. , and each of those multiplied by the dimensionalizing factors gives the lift force itself. But the table data in the configuration file implies that Cl=Cl(alpha), hence eliminating the need for Clo. Similarly for the Cd and Cm... Would anyone be able to explain this to me better? Also I'm wondering if I can find code where the values from the configuration files are processed. RE: [Flightgear-users] ILS/LLZ frequencies
All the relavent approach plate etc can be found at www.aip.net.nz VOR/DME is listed as 114.8 but i'm interested in the (ILS/LLZ)/DME signal on 110.3. I did a VOR/DME approach too and like you chickened (:-)) out. At no time did NAV1 on 110.3 get a signal. I would really like to know how to update Airport (including scenery) and Navaid data as the more accurate and more realistic I can make it by contributing to the FG effort maybe more of you Northern hemisphere flyers will pay us a visit!!! [Flightgear-users] 3D File formats ?
Sir, I am using Flight Gear 0.9.4 with *.ac files for 3D models.I have downloaded the scenery from your website. I would like to know what are the other file formats that are supported be flight gear and can be imported in flight gear.Expecting your reply at the earliest. FlightGear supports all the 3d model formats that plib supports because we use it's model loader code. So you can go to the plib web site (plilb.sf.net) and take a look at the various model formats that are supported. Note that not all the model loaders are perfect or complete so some of these formats are supported better than others. Re: [Flightgear-users] setting up the FDM
Hi Eric, There seems to be some problem with JSBsim lists, I don't seem to be able to register, nor do I see the mail you forwarded on my behalf in the list :( In any case I've sent a mail to Jon and I'll repost my message there when I get registered... Thanks a lot again :) On 8/9/05, bass pumped [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: thank you for forwarding it for me.On 8/9/05, Erik Hofman [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Since this is a JSBSim only question I've forwarded this to the jsbsim mailinglist.
