This is the direction I plan to go for optimizing the selection slowness issue with the 100k item tree. Please give it a whirl, and if there's comments or trouble with it, please follow up in the STR. I didn't check this into svn yet, because I hate doing commits before going to bed ;) I didn't yet give it a full second pass visual check yet, which I'd like to do before checking into svn. But I did exercise it quite a bit in the tree test program on linux making sure insert/remove/swap functions worked esp. at the boundary conditions. AFAIK it should work on windows too, but haven't done a test build for it yet. Thanks David for your patch. I liked what you did, and used it as a starting point and a reference to make sure I didn't miss anything. I did only some stuff differently.
