I fixed about_panel.fl (only) by enlarging the boxes and the whole window
to accommodate the increased text sizes with XFT fonts. This is not

This is an issue for current 1.3 (and still exists for me),
however it is marked as 1.4-feature.
Can anybody explain why?

I'd say just move the widgets around to accommodate the expansion.
A little extra space around widgets is usually good GUI design anyway.

but isn't it a problem in general when
using a GUI Toolkit that has no Layout Manager ?
