__Language Harm__ is a odd-months-only event at eyedrum, hosted by the 
a.p.g. The theme will be UNREADABILITY.  looking for poetry works that 
could be projected during the event (a 2nd night could be added - 20th - 
for more poetry films or animations if enough come in).

Unnamed Unreadable Poetry Show - a week or more in May overlapping the above.
...this will be a very transient exhibit.  there is going to be a large 
art show going on in eyedrum's space and other large rooms in the 
building.  i propose to post an exhibit of unreadable poetry in one of the 
side hallways.  these will all be standard  sized page printouts of 
attachments -- nothing will be returned to you -- (but it will be 
documented on the Perforations site with screen sized versions of all the 
pieces submitted  submitter's names and links  bios and such)

(to be made during performance / projection night, May 19) -- other 
unmentionable unreadables -- each box with unique mixture of works

There will be not only the PERFORATIONS release, but also an event called 
UNREADABLE at eyedrum art and music gallery. Co-editors for both events 
will be Robert Cheatham, [EMAIL PROTECTED], and John Lowther, 
[EMAIL PROTECTED]

Any media is acceptable for either perforations or the eyedrum event. 
However, the perforations material must be web-ready, in any of the 
standard web formats (Flash, PDF, streaming audio, standard HTML, 
etc.)  Queries considering web materials as well as submissions may be 
sent to Robert Cheatham, [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Materials for live presentation at eyedrum can be VHS, DVD, paper, audio, 
etc. Queries and submissions concerning the live presentation at eyedrum

 The Electronic Text Composition Project's Poetry Engine is a suite of
 software components that allow a user to generate aesthetic texts. Drawing
 word associations from its language database, the Engine's grammar uses a
 probability-based approach to constructing syntactic constituents, which
 it aggregates into utterances, which it in turn aggregates into
 compositions. The project postulates that the construction of its texts
 does not actually occur within the software-these constructions, absent
 authorial intent and divorced from any underlying message, assume their
 status as poems only as they are read. The process of textual construction
 is firmly situated within the reader, not the software. Over the last year
 a dozen poems composed with the Poetry Engine's aid and submitted under
 the pen name Erica T. Carter have been accepted for publication in a
 number of little magazines and literary journals. As evidence of the
 project's success (or perhaps indicative of its failure), one editor
 accepted a poem with the comment, I found your works intriguing, but have
 to admit I couldn't wrest the meaning from them.

 notable conceptual practices that invite a reconsideration of the effect
 framing has on critical interpretations. An essay on Haacke written in the

 In his early work, artist Hans Haacke was concerned with systems and
 processes. His Condensation Cube of 1963-65 [Clear acrylic, water, light,

 dependency of a relatively closed system on the environment in which it is
