It may be something as simple as changing the url from
a href=music/13%20You_collective.midHere the full piece here/a/p
to
a href=music/13-You_collective.midHere the full piece here/a/p
as my Safari Browser reads it just fine. IE is very literal about
20's, or spaces, and only correctly reads actual spaces, but most
servers or something translate the spaces to the ascii, or %20, so
that's why IE breaks.

my head really hurts!
you think so?
Music sounds nice.
Very weird about supereva not allowing direct links to mp3 files. You
might try an Embed tag.

Alan,

I think the following may help..

image menu - mode - select RGB colour if not already ticked and 8
bits/channel

..then again it might not...if it doesn't let me know.

cheers,

Sol.

nope! it was already set to rgb + 8 bit - i turned off the colour
management but i get really bright colours, even on the web compat. settings
red looks pink(ish)

i yse photoshop 7.0

i've gone through the colour managements options, but nothing seems to make
a difference. all colours seem ok in paintshop pro - so the monitor is ok

bah!

thanks

Can you set your monitor profile to the same color profile as the cd
tiffs use? s-rgb-xxx or other

I know that for printing you have to save the colors as CYMK for them to print
correctly. Doing that made a big difference printing my magazine. Occaisionally that
changes the image onscreen a little but I don't know what to about that.

Of course, I don't know what that means when dealing with the web.

Hope that helps

Benjamin

dear alan,
after perusing the replies, i'm not sure if your question was
addressed entirely. i have had a lot of issues mainly with the file
type (either cmyk or rgb). because rgb is based on light (as is your
monitor), the pallette will allow much brighter colors.

this being said, you can jump between cmyk and rgb and see how it
limits your pallette.

but once you print the file, no matter what file type it is, your
printer is limited by its inks (CMYK) and will not hold the
intensity of rgb. one thing i have noticed--using generic inks in my
epson produce muddied and dulled colors. using the epson inks (much
more expensive) produced nice vibrant colors for me.

hope this helps and isn't too redundant.

matt

Try to have a look at your ColorSync-Settings in the Control Panels (if
you use a Mac).

I have experienced similar problems until I did choose the right settings
for my printer and my monitor. (Most devices provide a ColorSync-profile
which you can choose).

Hope this helps...
