Yu Shao has just suggested to me the following heuristic for CJK
fonts: an encoding is supported by the font if fewer than 2% of the
Version 20020524 of mkfontscale is available from
http://www.pps.jussieu.fr/~jch/software/files/
Changes:
- Implements ``fuzz'' value for large encodings (defaults to 1%);
precise heuristics are still used for 8-bit fonts.
- Implements simple heuristic for distinguishing charcell
JC precise heuristics
Sorry for that. But then, I've heard people talk of ``elegant perl code''.
