I agree it makes sense to lower google-droid-fonts priority, since it is not a
default user font, but installed by default due to gs.

Also the “let’s kludge things for « special family » so fontconfig can avoid
looking at the general problem” is exactly what we’ve been doing for Droid for
more than a decade now.
