What is your logic for selecting the image to show? It may be possible to
implement this logic using fo:marker/fo:retrieve-marker.

What I meant more precisely is, how do you decide what barcode image is to
go into the footer on a given page?
Approach A: because it is page 17, you will use barcode017.jpg.
Approach B: page 17 has information for product N55, and the barcode for
product N55 is barcode_n55.jpg.
In the first
