We had the same problem you had, Phil. I admit, the output is not too representable due to this (among other) problems of FOP. Another problem would be that, if you use a filler of type ., it assumes a fix width. Hi Phillip, I'm trying to generate a contents page myself, but since I'm quite new to FOP I have no idea as to how to make a reference to page numbers of pages in the document. It seams like you've solved this problem and I was wondering if you would be willing to share this information, or point me in the direction of a web page (or some other resource) that discusses this kind of thing. Here's what I'm trying to do in a bit more detail. I'm creating a PDF document from a FOP template which is dynamically modified with the data from the database. The reason why I can't just create a static content page is because of the dynamic content (which needs a variable number of pages). What's the best way to handle this kind of a problem?
