when generating PDF that contains embedded fonts in which dynamic PUA
characters have been assigned, copy operations from a PDF viewer result in
those PUA characters being exported in a manner that precludes subsequent
correct display; this primarily affects the PDF output when complex script
features are used with fonts that do not have a CMAP entry for every referenced
glyph
