indentation in "em" units is larger than the letter "m"

em unit is not a width of 'M' letter! em unit is defined as current font-size
and font-size is defined as "em square", which in turn defined in CSS as "an
abstract square whose height is the intended distance between lines of type in
the same type size"[1].
