I'm currently using xml spy as editor and it has lovely FO button to run fop in awt mode, but I have to close awt window every time I'm changing fo source. I just wanted to something to this. At Outline we've made a little tool we use during XSLT/FO development. It still lacks a lot of useful features and it looks horrible. I'd like to improve this tool one day so we can include it in the FOP distribution. We can even let it run as a JNLP application. In this context your proposal needs to be carried out at some time. But I can't promise that I will be the one doing it. Are you talking about some kind of IDE? I was thinking about some frontend for fop, because sometime command line scares some people :) -- Oleg Tkachenko Multiconn International, Israel - To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, email: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Re: Enhancement Request
Exactly. A totally cool XSLT/XSL:FO/SVG development center for xml hackers (means: no WYSIWYG editor). :-) Hopefully even with some simple XML editor included. I just wanted to something to this. Re: Enhancement Request
Hmm, I've got a little tip. I'm using GhostView. Whenever the PDF that is currently open in GhostView is changed and you switch the focus from something else back to GhostView it automatically reloads the PDF. This is faster then generating a PDF and loading it into Acrobat Reader over and over again. It would be great if the AWT viewer had a Reload button which would reprocess the input. This way we could change an XSLT file and click reload and see the effect the change has. RE: Enhancement Request
Whenever the PDF that is currently open This implies having to generate a PDF first. I don't want to produce any files. I want to view the results of FOP and be able to print them off. I need to do this over and over again and thought it would be nice to simply tell the AWT viewer to reload or regenerate the report without shutting down.
