You may also want to try running FOP within JDK 1.4 beta. 1.4 has
made some major fixes in font spacing. Really cleaned up the FOP forms for us.
With 1.4 you may want to use this to start up FOP: java
-Xbootclasspath/p:../lib/xerces.jar
