Dear All,

it was confirmed in several discussions, e.g. [1], that the full-text search
is a feature offered solely by Adobe Acrobat, which employs a special
undocumented format for this.

Now this feature has turned out to be offered also by other tool! [2]

It seems to be driven by an independent non-Adobe PDF library. Reverse
engineered?

If it is legal, it would be great to implement this also into FOP :-)

When FOP produces big PDFs, the search is very slow. It can be improved by
post-processing in the Acrobat, but it cannot be automated and included into
the generating workflow.
