https://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=50524 --- Comment #4 from thomas.kr...@mecadtron.de 2010-12-30 08:03:09 EST --- Simon, I agree that we use hyphens in a wrong way. It is apparently sloppyness in using the minus ("-") key instead of distinguishing between the hyphen variants. I removed such stand alone hyphens but the problems remains. As far as I can see there are stand alone hyphes generated by the docbook xsl that we use. Nevertheless I think "reliable programs never crash" should apply here anyway... I'll try the latest revision. But thanks a lot for your help and a Happy New Year! https://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=50524 --- Comment #3 from Simon Pepping 2010-12-30 05:36:18 EST --- This problem was recently solved in revision 1042115. The problem is revealed by the fact that your manual uses words that consist of a single soft hyphen. In my view that is an error in your manual; one should use an em dash or an en dash in these places. As a bonus, that would work around the problem you report here. If you cannot change that, you can use a recent version of fop from subversion, see http://xmlgraphics.apache.org/fop/download.html, or apply the patch in revision 1042115 yourself. -- Configure bugmail: https://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug.
