Downloaded fop-1.0-src.tar.gz from
http://ftp.wayne.edu/apache//xmlgraphics/fop/source/ (ftp.wayne.edu is listed
as a download point at https://www.apache.org/dyn/closer.cgi/xmlgraphics/fop).

Open README, which tells me to go to
http://xmlgraphics.apache.org/fop/stable/compiling.html.

Following http://xmlgraphics.apache.org/fop/stable/compiling.html:
