Hi all,
I am very new to xsl-fop and to the world of xml and xsl. I am
currently working on creating dynamic pdf using coldfusion mx and FOP. I
am using Nate Nelson's tutorial published in ColdFusion Dev Journal.
Everything is working great, except I want to embed couple of fonts into
my pdf,
: embedding fonts into all dynamically generate pdfs using
coldfusion and fop.

Hi All,
hi have some problem generating a pdf with embedded fonts and encryption,
in my FO , i use some fonts that aren't standard fonts in acrobat reader
(Verdana.ttf).
Before in previous FOP release which i used to convert my FO in PDF, i
used itext for post-processing to add encryption.
Now i'm triyng to left itext to add the encryption with FOP, it
works (but
me too. seeing 'FOP 0.20.5' in the producer-field is so much cooler ;)
driver.getRenderer().setupFontInfo();
I never used this line explicitly. I don't get the error message anymore,
but
still all fields in
This currently documented as being unsupported.
Does anyone know if there are future plans to allow embedding of fonts with the
postscript
renderer, and if so when?
Thanx

Hi,
I'm using embedded fonts in fop. That is working fine. But if I want to edit
the resulting pdf files with Acrobat, the font names aren't correct in the
file. I'm getting 1Eec24TimesNewRoman or 2Ef1d7TimesNewRoman where it should
be TimesNewRoman. Why creates fop theses font names? Has anyone

That is the correct behavior.
I am not sure
I think Acrobat itself stores embedded fonts in this way.
The document should already be fully editable in Acrobat.

$ No, that is not correct, after what my tests with word and
$ acrobat showed.
$ If I embed Times New Roman the name in the PDF file is TimesNewRoman.

I had the same problem with the same message, but the fonts did print out.
This should be entered as FOP bug, if it isn't already.

Subject: embedding fonts angst
Hi
Hi
I managed to make the font-metric files with the TTFReader.
I reference this file (with URI syntax) in the userconfig.xml and
of course also reference the ttf file.
However, the resulting pdf causes the following bark when acrobat
opens it:
Unable to extract the embedded font '1E2732Arial'.
