Looks like Batik cannot process the Bevel filter, so I rendered it externally as a PNG and edited the graphic to make the background transparent. Then I got a single error message:

To be able to embed PNG images you have to download jimi library, put jimi.jar into lib directory and (if it still doesn't work) rebuild FOP.
