In that case, fo:table-cell display-align=center
is the only other option I can think of for centering vertically. I don't think it should be a problem if your external-graphic is placed within a fo:block and then within the fo:table-cell tag.

Yes, in a horizontal way it works !
In fact my only problem were on the vertical dimension.
I would ilke to have my graphic center both horizontaly and verticaly, and the second
point is my problem, what was not very well explained in the previous mail, sorry.
Does anyone know a mean to center verticaly a graphic in a table cell ?
