What PSPad version do you use?
I made fix of tab colors when you don't use themes in 5.0.5 version about 2
weeks ago.

In the program setting / direct edit button there are 2 options with 0 or 1
values (off/on)
HighlightCurrentTab
MarkCurrentTab

I hope the names are correct, i am out of computer. One underline current file
tab, second change background of selected tab when no themes are used in OS

2019 colors [74833]

Hi, I love PSPad.  Been using it a couple of years.  Sometime in 2020 I think
the colors changed dramatically.  Now they are brighter/noisier, the tabs have a
white highlight (they used to be the same color as the background in windows 7)
and I just want my old colors back.

Is there a way to restore all the colors for all files and all file types back
to the old plain white color scheme?  With the file tabs all the same color, but
bold for the current one?  I do like that part!

(Sorry if this is a repeat!  I tried to use the search feature here and open all
the good results in new tabs so I could read through them... after spending many
minutes opening many tabs, I found out that all the tabs were just the main
topics list, and now I'm out of time :) Google had nothing.)

nějaký ten rok nepodporuje a je to ještě horší pač už nejdou stahovat
přes win update ani dosavadní aktualizace 

mám ještě dobové PC z WinXP SP3 a veškeré aktualizace z win updatu z doby

dneska už je definitivně mrtvy update

To neni crash ale hlaseni Windows o odepreni pristupu.
Proc nevim, budu muset nekam nainstalovat WinXP, ktere uz MS nejaky ten rok
nepodporuje

Staci ji v nastaveni posunout uplne za roh nebo nastavot pozici na nula
Nastaveni programu / editor - pozice pravehon okraje

Podle te cary se zalamuje text, lamou se podle ni odstavce, kliknutim ma
pravitko se da posouvat...

WinXP instalation crash [74828]

nikde jsem se nedočetl jak je to z kompatibilitou z Windows XP ale při pokusu
o instalaci dostanu pouze chybovou hlášku (portable verze funguje)

a ještě jednou kontext menu je 2x zobrazená ikonka zvláštní je že pod
WinXP poslední verze kontextová nabídka ikona z knihovny funguje zatím co
pod Win10 nikoly

poslední verze 5.0.5 (567) 64bit mi nefunguje kontextová nabídka funguje jen
přes registry nikoly přes knihovnu (předchozí verzi jsem odinstaloval a
promazal adresáře od zbytku) zkoušel jsem i vyšší oprávnění bez
výsledku, problém je i v associací prostřednictví programu nedojde ke
změně ikon .TXT souboru ale to je drobnost grinning smiley

nevím na co slouží ona čára uprostřed otevřeného programu a přijde mi
zbytečná
hrabal sem se v nastavení ale nijak na to nemohu přijít jak se ji zbavit víc
obrázek
nedivte se mému dotazu přecházím z notepad++ na PSPad :-))

When I think of a solution, at first I think it's not that difficult. :-P Even
with trim trailing spaces, you only need to remember CaretX before the line
break happens and when you undo, you restore the text to position CaretX.

But then I realized, that's not all! :-/ There is to consider this and to
consider that and much more, which makes the whole thing complicated. :-|

After all, I didn't notice this problem for over 1 year. Let's just hope it's a
very rare occurrence.

to see the word count of the texts you add in? I can see character count but I
really need to see word count.

It's inside the editor component. 
Trim trailing spaces behavior is strange, it trims when you leave the line
(Enter, arrows, mouse) 
When you connect it with enabled step behind the EOL (end of line), when you can
put cursor anywhere behind the real line end and the position is virtual till
you write some letter it's hard to fix it without break other functionality.

If you remember, I tried to fix inserting real tabs instead of spaces and it
broke undo/redo and cursor positions (your last emotional e-mails) ;-)

This edkitor component functtionality is strange sometimes



The trim trailing spaces option is enabled in the editor.

This is strange. I just checked and the behavior has been occurring for a long
time - but I never noticed it before. 

Can you fix it or is it too much effort? :-))

Děkuji, už jsem problém vyřešil. Nenapadlo mě, že se bude hypertextový
odkaz chovat jako soubor.html
