There are 4 hotkeys to assign macros. Open Macro manager and assign it.
For current recorded macro F5 is assigned automatically

I'm not sure whether I should post to this thread or not, since I can't actually
read the posts, but I *am* periodically seeing the same issue, which is having
non-text characters appear at beginning of line.  

I am using build 2658, on Win7/64-bit
It only occurs occasionally, which makes it difficult to determine what I may
have done to cause this... I've only been seeing this for the last month or two;
it *may* coincide with upgrading to build 2658, though I cannot be sure...
