In the PSPAD Hilighter that I set there are specified four file types: PRG, CH,
ARC, XPJ.
According  to what I did based on my understaning of your reply to me  I can
compiling extensions PRG and CH (both uses the same compiler).
The extensions ARC and XPJ each one uses a different compiler.
Could you, please, posting a step by step showing how to set the corresponding
compiler for each one extension?

I need to compile files with extensions PRG, XPJ, ARC and CH.
The compiler set in _Hilighters Settings_ only compiles extensions PRG and
CH.
If it is possible how can I associate (or using another way) a compiler for
compiling extension XPJ and another for compiling extension ARC?

i think this small addition could be very handy.
Right now, this is the only feature that i used to use in other editors that is
still not present here in PsPad.

Do have admin rights. Notepad works but I prefer to use PsPad. What puzzles me

Excelent work!

2 ideas i posted before, but i think they can go in the new version:

. option to execute Macro until the end of file . (currently only has option to
execute the macro once or X times, but i think it need an option to run until
the end of file, therefore you dont need to know how many lines has a file,
etc...)
. option to save all macros into a X file, so in other pspad you can just import
them. (i know its possible copying the files but it would be a good idea to just
export and import)

The files panel is often closed while working (eats screen space). It's about
the extra clicks and scrolls required when it's closed.
Renaming a file could be faster.
I'll shoot myself soon for the delete slip-up.

* A context menu option to rename, delete any file tab.
* A context menu option to add a file to a favorites folder.
* A favorites tool bar button.
Hit the button and a list of the files you are currently working on or most
often need pops up. Select and go.
It's all about extra speed.

Who's got the skills to write a PsPad extension for the 10 million plus Firefox
users out there?
At least seven separate Firefox extensions are presently needed to do basic
editing.
* JsView (view source code of external files).
* Editus Externus (edit textboxes using an external editor).
* Send To (send selected text to text editor).
* ViewSourceWith (view page source with external applications).
* SourceEditor (view and edit html).
* Mr Tech Local Install enables users to select an external editor to view and
edit css and js but few (260 000) Firefox users have installed the Mr Tech
extension.
* External Applications Button allows users to run any application (editors
included) from a toolbar button but the extension is no longer being developed
and is not even available on the main Firefox download site.
A single PsPad extension can probably do it all.

PsPad: A new perspective [33191]

Would a separate forum thread for people who are mainly interested in using
PsPad as a text editor extend PsPad's popularity and increase Jan's potential
Paypal income substantially?
I think so.
The existing main forum is too technical for this huge market and too little is
being done to promote PsPad as the best freeware text editor of all.
A clearer distinction between the needs of programmers and people who just use
PsPad as a text editor is needed.
Newbie text users could be provided with a discussion thread which suits their
simpler needs and allow pro PsPad users to pitch in when needed.
An extended, graphics rich website which clearly illustrates PsPad's main
functions as text editor would also be great.
All help files and FAQ's could distinguish much clearer between the needs of
text editor users and programmers.
The existing forum and documentation cannot be described as user-friendly for
this type of user. Almost everything focuses on the needs of programmers, which
is great but disastrous in terms of faster growth and the potential income
offered by a much bigger user base.
Where is the biggest future PsPad growth and better Paypal income for Jan going
to come from?
Shoot me if I'm wrong: from users who start playing around with text editors,
suddenly find that they need more and then start playing around with PsPad's
programming functions.
If I'm even halfway right, how many of you are willing to pitch in order to fill
in the gaps? Or must Jan somehow find the time to do this free of charge too?

i'd download the last version from your beta section, but the problem persists,
let me explain... in the 4.3.3 version there are two especial options, export
to clipboard as HTML and Export to clipboard as XHTML , i'd like the export
as HTML because it keeps the fonts and sizes that i can see in the editor, but
in the XHTML format all is converted to classes like this:

span class=pas1-reservedwordend/span

i'd like the version 4.3.3 because it exports like this this sentence:

font color=#FFbend/b/font

so i can paste it directrly to my web page without the need to declase a css
style

in the new version the HTML export really is a XHTML export and the pure HTML
export is missed.
