Maybee in an comment on top -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- That is exactly what I do... at the beginning of the file: <!-- this is a dummy char é --> After, it will be recognized as UTF-8. But without that, AND WITH some char é in the middle of the file, it will not be recognized.
