Re: [foss-gbg] Home Assistant Hackathon
Following up on this - should we set a date in March and make this happen? Tell me when and I'll look for a venue! Ditto, I've just 3d printed a fish feeder that I'm hooking up through an arduino to a rpi and on to HA using MQTT to control it;). Haven't looked at the HA side yet though ;) On 2018-11-21 11:03, Johan Thelin via foss-gbg wrote: I agree - sounds really fun! I also want to explore the MQTT side of HomeAssistant. Toni On Wed, 21 Nov 2018, 09:44 Jeena Paradies via foss-gbg Hi, I would like to help host a Home Assistant https://www.home-assistant.io/ hackathon, where we can learn how to install Home Assistant on a hardware (for example Raspberry Pi) and connect our first Internet of Things things to it. I could imagine: - presence detection via Bluetooth and phone - a light bulb - a electic switch Basically something really easy and inexpensive, so that many can join in doing that. And after we get the main functionality up we can help each other to find out other things like how to make it accessible from the internet, how to secure it, what other things we can connect, etc. What do you guys think, would that be something people would be interested in? /Jeena ___ foss-gbg mailing list [email protected] https://cool.haxx.se/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/foss-gbg ___ foss-gbg mailing list [email protected] https://cool.haxx.se/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/foss-gbg ___ foss-gbg mailing list [email protected] https://cool.haxx.se/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/foss-gbg ___ foss-gbg mailing list [email protected] https://cool.haxx.se/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/foss-gbg -- Oscar Andreasson Mail: [email protected] Web: https://www.frozentux.net ___ foss-gbg mailing list [email protected] https://cool.haxx.se/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/foss-gbg
Re: [foss-gbg] Home Assistant Hackathon
I have a Raspberry Pi, printed a shell for it, and then procrastination (family?) hit hard ... Would love to join in as well. MQTT is very interesting. I'd be happy to bring some puck.js to play with as well (puck-js.com). / Fredrik Den ons 21 nov. 2018 kl 11:05 skrev Johan Thelin via foss-gbg < [email protected]>: > I agree - sounds really fun!
