FOSSology supports
- trusty, xenial and bionic and
- Debian jessie, stretch, buster and sid
see [1]. Can you choose one of them. Or as an alternative you could contribute
to the fo-installdeps script.

While installing Fossology from source, on typing 'sudo
utils/fo-installdeps', after the import process completed and certificates
were added, I got the below line as a response on the terminal:
ERROR: Unknown or Unsupported Ubuntu artful release, please report to the

uploading 15GB in a single upload is not advisable in any case, since it will
lead to speed issues when browsing the source in an aggregated view.
15GB of compressed source code will be like ... 100GB of uncompressed files?

Does fossology have to be able to load into RAM ALL of the upload? So for let's
say a 4G input file it has to have 4G of RAM available?

Yeah, this could certainly be an issue...they would like to be able to process
a 15G file and I don't think that is going to happen...if we could get 4G that
would be nice, but based on the info below that may not even be possible. I'll
