is Wikimédia as
visible in the WMFR chapter name but the logo does not show it (and can't
show it due to the same styleguide). An extreme (and creative) example may
be http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Wikimedia_Canada_logo where
non-traditional designs are suggested.

serious business (intentional LOLCAT reference).

With all due respect the state of meta main page is at a dismal state. Some
translations are over a year old in content. The goal of this endeavour is
to offer up to date info in many languages. Feel free to hop in to assist
with the effort. :)

I think we may want a historic texts wikisource/wikibooks particularly for
texts in now extinct languages. Something sort of like commons for historic
texts for all extinct languages. I do not know something like this was
proposed before.

Yes but isn't multilingual wikisource more of an incubator rather than
exclusively for historic texts? It would make more sense to separate the two
as inherently the two tasks have different goals in mind.

LangCom lacks procedures for rename requests, this shouldn't be an
excuse to ignore rename requests. Also, no one expects the rename to
happen tomorrow, the only expectation is that if approved the request is
added to the backlog.
