My two cents is that going by the rule of free works and their derivatives

format) under a copyleft license and to be fair to the effort the author has
put in, he should charge a fee for the kindle/e-book hardcopy/printed/paper
 edition.

And that's fair, eh?

Advocating this approach sounds like a good way to ensure that no one who
actually writes for a living, as opposed to doing it as some sort of hobby or
therapy or something, ever writes a book having anything to do with free
software...

There are so many people that work without a profit, why you should promote
 something sell-able only?

Free (no price) is not the same as Freedom.

A lot of people like to work from a printed book. It would be
appropriate if the content of such a book were also available e.g. under
a creative commons share-alike licence, or under the FSF documentation
license. I do not know whether that's the case here or not.

Hello GNOME Foundation,

I am attaching the logo we are proposing for the GNOME PERU FEST 2013 [01]

This an adaptation of the peruvian artist Elliot Tupac [02]

As soon as we get your approval, we are going to make the t-shirts,
stickers and banners.

Any comment is welcome.

Kind regards,
Julita
