All,

I took the liberty of contacting Michael Bleyhl for the LifeTime Learning
Center for information on compressing our training cycle.

I think you will find his answer quite interesting. Please feel free to
contact Michael directly.

I appreciate Mr. Moore's feedback and I hope I can provide some
understanding and offer some assistance. With open enrollment tuition
courses the LifeTime Learning Center tries to meet the "Average" learners
comprehension pace. A down side to this approach is that it does leave some
students feeling that the pace the material is being covered is either to
"slow" or to "fast". To address this issue the LifeTime Learning Center
(LLC) has several alternatives.
* Alternative #1: The LLC has scheduled accelerated regional training
courses in several cites across the United States. These are courses that
are normally 2 week courses in length but are accelerated to compress the
learning into 1 week. This is accomplished by spending less time in class
lecture and using more of a hands on lab approach with more of the learning
pace being the responsibility of the student. This type of course allows
students who are quick learners to be more efficient with their learning.
* Alternative #2: The LLC will work with you to create a custom
learning agenda that will cover just the learning objectives you or your
team is interested in and deliver that material in the appropriate time
based on the profile of your team.
* Alternative #3: The LLC has just launched a new e-learning site
powered by Smartforce a global leader in e-learning. This site will provide
targeted learning modules on selected Foxboro/Invensys products. E-learning
allows students to move at the learning pace they are most comfortable at
and is always available to go back to for any refresher learning needs.
Please check out a demo of the FoxCAE Backdocumentation application on our
site at www.invensys.smartforce.com <http://www.invensys.smartforce.com>

The LLC knows how valuable our customers time is and how valuable
learning/training is, and so we are trying to provide options so that the
LLC can provide the highest quality of learning with the most efficient
method of delivery.
Also any one who would like to talk to me about his or any other
learning/training need please feel free to call, all suggestions and
feedback is very welcome.

Does anyone know of a company that provides training on the Foxboro
I/A
        system, besides Foxboro?
The training provided by Foxboro is very slow paced, and takes two
weeks to
        cover one week of material.
        Are there other alternatives?

        thanks for you comments,

        Ken Moore
