Thanks. I realise Ultibo is an independent project, I am just hoping for a
full Pascal development stack.

Once FPC support for the Espressif SDK is done the Ultibo devs can try to
port their code to the Xtensa as well if they want. That is their choice,
not ours.

Espressif SDK is work in progress and I got it it already working to a
certain degree, actually. The main effort is currently spent into an
xtensa-freertos target which is bascially using the Espressif SDK. Not
everything is committed to trunk yet, but it will appear there step by
step the next days.

I don't know about Ultibo, but the Espressif SDK is definitely planned.

[fpc-devel] XTensa support question

2020-03-23 Thread Christo Crause via fpc-devel
I've noticed some Xtensa support appear in trunk. This is exiting news for
me. Are there some plans/ideas in terms of linking to existing frameworks
such as Espressif's SDKs or Ultibo?

[fpc-devel] Advanced objects

2020-03-23 Thread Ryan Joseph via fpc-devel
Checking in on old bug report for "advanced objects" which was marked as
acknowledged on the tracker. Was there ever any discussion of this and
possibility of it being applied? I don't think it caused any controversy so I
was hoping to get to use it some time soon. :)
