Hi Dave, Although you can customize some of your settings, there's no inherent need to modify the maker.ini to do what you describe. With Fm11, there are now 2 copies of the maker.ini (userdata directory and install directory) and 2 copies of the structapps file (local and global,

Hi Don, Do you mean that you want to create a list of terms in a file and have something automatically mark those terms in your documents to be added to an Index? I don't know if FM does this by itself, but I believe that IXgen ( http://www.fsatools.com/ixds.html) will do this. Index Markers by

Yes, indeed it would be overkill. However, I was recommending Dave go to an install that had yet to be mucked. (a fresh install, not a reinstall)Attempting to remedy the existing mucked files could result in much wheel spinning that might make reinstalling Fm seem like a modest proposal. -MattMatt
