Who wants the link to be active for the text as well when you have several
pages for the same text entry? The idea is to have only the page number active

As Fred pointed out, there are tons of things you can do with FrameScript or
the FDK. I am partial to FrameScript because I make my living writing them,
but you can really make FrameMaker fly with FrameScript automation.
