problem was, but you can probably also eliminate steps 2 and 3 by installing
the free SetPrint utility

You can avoid step 5 by doing this. Make sure FrameMaker is not running.
Click the Start button and choose Devices and Printers. Right-click on the
Adobe PDF printer and choose Printing Preferences. On the Adobe PDF Settings
tab, uncheck Uncheck "Rely on system fonts only; do not use docu

Thank you all for attempting to help me with my Windows 7 problem. I eventually
managed to create a pdf using the following procedure.
With the FM 9 doc open:
1. Select File > Print. The Print Document window opens.
2. Check Print to File box and change .prn to .ps.
3. Change Printer to Adobe PD
