It's actually nothing like SDL Author Assistant, unless you only look
at the author side of how you use it. I use Acrolinx to proof and
refine client content, as not everyone is ready for a "six figure
spell checker". But its ability to build custom language rules, full
approved (and deprecated) te

Thanks to all the kind people who shared the way to fix copy paste from
Word into Frame.
Here's how:
Open the file maker.ini, which in my case was here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Technical Communication Suite 2\Adobe
FrameMaker 9
Edit the line:
ClipboardFormatsPriorities=FILE, OLE 2

You need to edit the "ClipboardFormatsPriorities" in the FM9 maker.ini
file, typically located here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\FrameMaker9.
By default, the line should read:
ClipboardFormatsPriorities=FILE, OLE 2, EMF, META, DIB, BMP, MIFW, MIF,
RTF, UNICODE TEXT, TEXT

There are two maker.ini files with later versions of FrameMaker. One is in
the Program Files > FrameMaker folder (as before), but there is another one
in the Users area. I am not sure the exact path, but if you search for
maker.ini on your C: drive, both of them should come up. The ke

paste from word was interpreted as a copy paste from a text file. I have
moved to FrameMaker 9 but I can't seem to find the place to change now.
