If you have Acrobat, then you can use the Batch Process function, which is
available under Advanced > Document Processing (I'm using Acrobat 9). Just a
few settings, works great!

I had met similar problems 10 years ago, when I started translating and
typesetting FM documents. There was/is not a short-cut solution to the
problems. But the lessons that I learned are:
1. Never change the relative path info in the FM files. Be careful of

As far as I know, FrameMaker 7 is not Unicode-enabled. Try turning on support
for each language in Control Panel of your OS, or try upgrading to FrameMaker 8
or higher.

One possible way to do this is: you search and see all the documents, select
them all and right click and select Combine supported files in Acrobat. You
will get a combined PDF file, whose page count you can easily see in Acrobat. I
have assumed that you have Acrobat properly installed.
