Did you have any font remapping in your frame 8 maker.ini file?
And have you tried washing a file through mif to see if the problem
disappears?

Are you opening the file on the same computer? If not, the Roman version
of the font is probably uninstalled on the new computer and Acrobat is
making a substitution.
