Hi Roger, You should be able to change the sort order using the bracketed sort text. You could set a numeric value for each of the biblical books, depending on their placement in the Bible. For example, Romans 3:12 could be [45003012], where 45 is the book number, 003 is the chapter, and 012 is

Roger, The first thing to realize is that many published books have indexes that were compiled by a professional indexer, working from galleys and using a dedicated indexing software tool like CINDEX or SKY Index rather than one that is built from embedded index codes in the authoring tool.
