I don't think it would work, but I don't know. I picked up the trick somewhere else and don't know anything about the inner workings of it. I would point out, though, that it does not change the keypad to hex. It merely adds the capability. So all the old Left-Alt+xxx ASCII? key combinations

First, if you haven't already, you need to turn on the unicode keypad. It's turned off in Windows by default. Use regedit to find the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Input Method. Right-click on it, choose New and then String to create a new string called EnableHexNumpad with a value of 1.
