I use a product called "PopChar" that works on the PC and Mac. It displays all
the characters in a given font. You just click on the character you want and it
On Win XP and now Win 7, I use the Windows Character Map (Win7 - Start >>
Accessories >> System Tools) to find the character. You can copy and paste
into FM (6 or 9 that I know of) or the Windows Character Map gives the ALT
sequence that can be entered into FM.

printed list of the characters, but I am not sure where I got it. Mu
happens to be ALT + 077.
