Using Running H/F with the $paratext or $marker1/2 is no option. For a good
reason these system variables reference only the text, no formatting at all.

char format in the H/F variable where you want the italics to appear. Add the
Default font object at point where you go back to normal font characteristics.

header. The Frame manual used to be good at explaining the specific on this
but I've not see Frame past version 9.

In the RunningH/F 1 the scientific name is not italicized, as it should be.
I know how to change the entire RunningH/F 1to italics, but not just a portion
