Thanks Richard: I am sure you are right. My doc is heavily cross referenced and has many, many .pgfs. My question now is should I now delete the small html and other mapping files, headings files? Frame Maker should give a warning or something if it is going to go over the top of 100 reference pages, surely? Rob **********
