RE: PDF Issue
Hi Denis, Save As CMYK PDFs is still broken in Frame 12. I raised a bug on the Adobe bug base and had an email 2 weeks before Christmas saying that they'd fixed the issue and it would be sorted in the next update (v12.0.4, I suppose). But there is no indication when this will be released. I emailed them to ask and they didn't reply. I asked on the Adobe FrameMaker forum and just got lolz. So I am having to change a bunch of colour definitions in by source files and make RGB PDFs as a workaround for now. Annoying. No fix indication yet. I am still unable to save a PDF using CMYK. It will save fine using RGB setting. Any advice is appreciated. RE: FM 10 sometimes changes graphics paths
I suspect what's happening here is that FM won't accept the relative path because it does not exist. If you put the file in F:\Customer\project\translation\incoming\x\x\x\x it would probably preserve it. Correct, I tried that and it works. Re: FrameMaker on MacOS Retina display?
I had the same problem with Frame 12 on Win 7 and I reduced my screen resolution to 1440 x 900 and kept the text at the smaller setting and I no longer have the problem. Will my solution solve your problem? Dunno here's hoping. On the new system, much of the FrameMaker user interface text (top-level menus, dialog box text, etc.) is _tiny_. I'm running a Windows 7 virtual machine under Parallels 10. My screen resolution is about 2000 x 1066 (less than full resolution). I've experimented with decreasing the resolution on the Mac and on the Windows VM, to no real effect. (Interestingly, some UI text, like sub-menu items, renders just fine). Has anybody done this successfully? I feel that I'm missing something basic that I must change to resolve the issue. -Alan -- Alan Houser Group Wellesley, Inc.
