Joel, Assuming FM 6.0 or later and each appendix is it's .fm file in a book, use the numbering properties of the paragraph style. For the appendix title use A:Appendix $chapnum. without the quotes. For the appendix level one tags use B:$chapnum.n+ without the quotes. In the book, you'll need

I've tried the following Wildcard searches (which I'm pretty sure used to work): ^\p ^$ but they only find paragraphs that have table or frame anchors in them. FrameMaker 7.2 on Windows XP. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. Pat Christenson ___

Hi Eduardo, So, I am assuming you have a file in which all the pages are numbered 2H-2[letter] and that the book file has sequences 2H-[number]? If that is true then Baruch's suggestion is good. But is that the case or do you also have number sequences 2H-3, 2H-3A, ..., 2H-4, 2H-4A,...
