Hi Linda,
Did you try turning off Smart Quotes? (Format > Document > Text Options)
This will force the apostrophes and quotes to be straight instead of curly.
Hope this helps,

1. Using the alt code process (that is, hold down the Alt key and enter the
number on the numeric keypad), enter alt + 0162.
2. Select the symbol that appears and apply the Symbol font to it.
That's what I used to do a long time ago to signify units for feet (single

I tried that and it didn't create straight apostrophes. However, Control +

Thanks,

Hi,
I am using Framemaker 9 and our content management system is having
problems rendering the "curly" apostrophe that Framemaker creates by
default. Is there a setting similar to the Turn off Smart Quotes option
that applies to apostrophes? I want it to use a straight apostrophe that

Period. If you have a very tall cell, the only option is to creae a new

In the Windows version of FrameMaker, the information on font metrics (the
precise width and height of each glyph) comes from the Windows printer driver.
Whenever you change the specified printer, FrameMaker displays the warning
because it is now using a different set of font metrics. There may
Hi everybody,
It looks like a common/simple action, but I don't see an option for splitting a

PCL printers cannot properly print EPS. EPS => Encapsulated PostScript. All you
will get with any printers other than PostScript is the TIFF preview header
from the EPS file. Workaround if you don't have a PostScript printer is to
create PDF and then print from Acrobat (or Adobe Reader).

to the file. But for some reason, they are coming in correctly but when I print
to our printer with a PCL6 driver they come out fuzzy, meaning not as sharp as
the rest of the text in the document. Th
