I am not familiar with IP XACT XML, but if you have a schema or DTD, you
should be able to make it work with structured FrameMaker. If you need some

Has anyone used Structured FrameMaker with IP XACT? We are investigating using
Structured FrameMaker XML round-trip with the IP XACT XML format for electronic
design. The data would come in and out of Frame tables.

Under Edit>Preferences you can set the books to open as a floating tab by
unchecking the Open Composite Documents as Tabs.
