Hi Framers,
Your collective community is my last hope. I'm using FM 13, and cannot seem
to set a default window size for my compiled html help files. They all come
out small, and do not retain the set size after closing.
We migrated away from using WebWorks to produce our help files when we
Hi Karen,
I checked with FM 2015 on PC:
The glyph palette shows more characters, that is true, but only
characters that really are part of the font have a correct wysiwyg
preview.
If you click on the "ć", a question mark is shown in the text, which is
the expected result.
As far as I can
Hi Tino,
Hm, that's interesting. On the Mac side, it does
contain all the glyphs. And in the FM Character
Palette, it looks like they are there as well
(definitely NOT there for the basic Helvetica, in
contrast).
I'll look into another (Pro) version for the PC
side. Would be a help with
Hi Karen,
the Std-font contains only the standard latin (western) characters.
You would need the Pro-version of this Helvetica font (=latin extended,
with Central European characters) oder the WGL4 font (includes also
Baltic, Greek and Cyrillic characters).
Pls refer to the website of a font
Actually, I spoke too soon. It does work for some
fonts (e.g., Garamond), but not others--including
HelveticaNeueLT Std, the one I need. It should
have all the characters and glyphs that exist.

Select the font you want (eg, Arial) and go through the palette until you find

I am trying to keyboard an acute accent over the letter C (as in the name

on the PC. Alt+0263 doesn't work. A colleague with a versions-old FM quick
reference card says it confirms that couldn't be done (at least at that

Hello, Framers,
I believe that I can ease my template conversion project by “doing a MIF wash”
on a book before I begin the template import/revision process.
Now that I know much more than I did when I last rebranded these docs (~6 years
ago), and that the FrameMaker (2015) UI exposes much
I don't recall having this problem. Hmmm.

I have the same problem (with FrameMaker 10). I thought the information
might be saved in maker.ini or in another configuration file but if it is,
I can't find it.
Oh, I didn't state so, but I'm using FrameMaker 2015 (FrameMaker 13), so an
