   Hi John;

Define a "red" char style tag, and apply it to the numbering.

FM 11 and the output will be PDF

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

[Framers] Retaining paragraph formats when removing structure

2016-09-13 Thread Rick Quatro
Hello Framers,

I am working on a bunch of structured FrameMaker files that were imported
from XHTML files. The target is going to be a bunch of unstructured
FrameMaker files. I am using the EDD to apply the correct paragraph and
character formats based on the structure. For example, I am using the EDD to
apply Bullet1 to my ol > li elements. However, when I remove the structure
from the flow, the Bullet1 format doesn't stick: it becomes li1, or
something like that. Other formats are changed as well, although it seems
restricted to list elements.

I have done this many times with other structured files and the formats I
assign always stick, even after the structure is removed. Is there some kind
of setting in the application or EDD that I have to set? Thanks in advance.

Rick

First remove the content of the autonumber field then the checkbox,
otherwise the checkbox comes back. Be sure to click twice to remove
ON and AS IS values of the checkbox.

Sometimes I cannot remove the building block from under it also.

Re: [Framers] Ain't that peculiar?

2016-09-13 Thread Amit Agarwal
We have investigated the issue at our end. The issue seems to be a mix of
tagged pdf combined with shading of table cells.

When we try to do these the full text appears in the output:

  1. Generating untagged PDF: Turning off the tagged PDF option while
generating PDF
  2. Generating tagged PDF with all tags: Shift >> include all the para tags
to be included in the tagged para list
  3. Generate tagged PDF with specific tags. In this case, adding
"ListItem_Bullets" to the list helps. This is because it is applied on the text
just before the erroneous cells.

Does any of them seem workable for you? - Do let us know if this helps.

Thanks,
Amit

It comes out fine that way. It was the first thing that I checked.
But I'd still like to know what's up!
