Hi All, I replied only to Louise yesterday by mistake . . . quick summary . . . I had checked the Runaround Properties first thing and they were set to Don't Runaround and neither Snap nor Gravity were selected. I punted and did a whole system reboot and all is fine now. I have absolutely no idea

As Louise said, I am pretty sure this is caused by the Runaround Properties on your imported graphics being set to "Run Around Contour" (the default). I have complained to Adobe for years that the default setting for this should be "Don't Run Around." I have a simple ExtendScript script that fixes
