Re: [Framers] FM 2017 Feature Request: Restore color and scaling to menu icons

2017-03-09 Thread Victoria Muir
Oooo. Personally I loathe the new Acrobat UI (and have complained to Adobe
about it), hopefully they don't decide to go that direction for FrameMaker.

Added my comments to FRMAKER-2449 too.

I voted for FRMAKER-2449 too. I left the comment that FrameMaker has
slavishly followed the Adobe Creative Cloud UI guidelines while being the only
application in TCS to do so. RoboHelp uses a colourful MS ribbon interface
while Acrobat and Captivate each follow their own unique UI styles. Then
there's the Windows 2000 vintage style of Robo Screen Capture!

Which is useful, thank you, but doesn't that mean you've just changed your
settings for everything ELSE you use, too?

Re: [Framers] Curly Quote conundrum

2017-02-28 Thread Victoria Muir
I can't speak for Tammy's work environment, but I have worked on two manuals
where the client OK'd replacing the quote marks and the microns, but the
majority of the font needed to stay their corporate font – similar issues to
her observation on the quotes, and the microns in this particular font looked
like they are italic even when they aren't, which drove their scientists bats.

Well.. as someone who functions primarily as a designer, this doesn't sound so

As Heiko pointed out, you're actually getting curly quotes, you just

I'd live with it or change fonts. Overriding certain glyphs with
another font is crazy.
