Funny, one of the hot new features of InDesign CS5 was the ability
to... you guessed it, add multiple page sizes to a singe document!

Alison,
Probably the easiest way would be to make a new 11x17 template page, not as
part of the main book master pages, and just insert the 11x17 page as a
component of the book, in the appropriate page relation to the main book. As

I have FM 9, but never added 11x17 as a master page. When I used 7.2 I always
made a file called Chapter 2 11x17 and created the master page for it. Once I
have the file done than I add it to the book and set page numbers so the number
correctly. All seems to work fine.
I can't think of any easy way to get FrameMaker to do this, because running a
graphic through the gutter is typically a problematic thing to do. If you're
delivering a PDF that anyone is ever going to turn into hard copies, they are
probably going to lose some amount of the graphic because
If Karl is trying to mix page sizes in one file, it cannot be done, as far as I

It actually can be done, that is generating mixed page sizes in the final
PDF directly from FrameMaker.
The basic concept is to make all master pages 17x11 and use ps text box
code to trim the final output of non-17x11 pages to 8x11. (postscript marker
/cropbox)
You could use that as your inside

There is a very nice discussion on this very topic at

Mixing page sizes in one template is not the way to go. As Richard points out.

Yes, leave it to me to flaunt my ignorance rather than being the

Meh. It's a good way to learn something new. I do it all the time. Having no
