I have successfully handled spot colour output from FM on Windows for years
using Colour Chameleon that allows you to map your windows RGB colours to
spot colour and/or adjust the cmyk.

We've been using Frame for years for certain marcom pieces, particularly where
the content is similar or identical to content in our technical documents.
Basically, our technical marketing is in Frame, while our corporate marketing
is in InDesign. We have successfully worked around Frame's RGB
We just use pitstop or let our printer fix the files using pitstop.
If we do the work on a MAC no color issues.
